People love to stay in their sin and not change. This is likely the case with Nadia. Or it could be that Nadia has decided this verse is one of those that can be ignored because it is not from God but just one of Paul's "snotty opinions."

Nadia and the ELCA chafe at letting God's Word teach and reprove them; they proudly sit in judgment on the Word and revise or jettison anything that doesn't suit their changing whims (which invariably mirror the world's constantly changing moral vagaries).
