I just want to say that if you’ve been wounded by purity culture you’re not alone and your sexuality has never belonged to your parents or your church or your partners. It’s yours and it’s beautiful and unique and meant to be enjoyed. □

She's right about one thing: "your sexuality has never belonged to your parents or your church or your partners."

It does, however, belong to God, and He's unambiguous about that sexuality: within the bonds of one man-one woman marriage.

Bolz-Weber is obviously enjoying her role as "chaplain to Weimar America." Pagan priestesses are all the rage today.

That’s just about the least radical thing that a pastor could say to American culture in 2019, isn’t it? She’s the left-wing version of a prosperity gospel preacher, peddling the sanctifying power of lust as surely as her right-wing counterparts peddle the sanctifying power of greed."

That brash woman has been peddling her wares for sometime now to an eager pagan culture. She coddles their lasciviousness. It all stinks to highest heaven and the ELCA merely cheers her onward.

Well, God does want us to enjoy the gift that He gave us...with our spouse...of the opposite sex...which is either a male or female.
